Sustainable Development Model for a Hotel Owner in Oeiras
About the Project:
Mysolarwealth aims to provide a sustainable development model to a hotel owner in Oeiras through a comprehensive solar energy solution.
Objective: Install a solar system with a battery that almost fully covers the hotel’s electricity expenses through this campaign.
Funding Goal: Raise €13,768 for the installation of a 10 kW solar energy system and a 10 kW electricity storage unit with a battery.
Solar System Details: The entire system will be installed on the roof, with a capacity of 10 kW, generating over 13,500 kWh of electricity annually.
Financial Viability:
Incorporating a battery enables efficient electricity storage, eliminating the hotel owner’s reliance on the grid and resulting in substantial cost savings on their electricity bill.
Reduced Electricity Price: The hotel owner will pay €0.21 per kWh for electricity consumed from the solar system.
Estimated Annual Return: The hotel’s annual electricity bill is estimated to be at least €2,835 (based on 13,500 hours of usage).
Energy-saving Rating: The building’s energy-saving rating will be elevated from E to B or A.
Supplier: The currently selected supplier for this solar system is Superiminifito. Detailed pricing information is available in the accompanying figures.
Project Details:
Supplier: Superminfinito, a renowned Chinese solar system manufacturer with years of experience in solar system sales in China.
Location: The hotel is situated in “Lagos Park,” known as the Portuguese Silicon Valley.
Hotel Operations: The hotel currently generates around €7,000 in monthly revenue, with the potential to earn even more during the summer season.
Ownership: The hotel is owned by a single individual with full rights, and the property is exclusively used for hotel purposes.
Credit Rating: The hotel owner has a commendable credit rating and years of experience operating various local hotels in Oeiras, Lisbon, and Cascais.
Current Electricity Contract: The hotel currently has a contract with Galp, and its average monthly electricity expenditure is €400.
Environmental Commitment: The hotel has had plans to install solar panels on the roof since 2014, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability.
Upgrade Plan: The hotel intends to fully upgrade the solar system to cover almost all electricity consumption from the grid.
Your Impact:
Greenhouse Gas Reduction: The project is estimated to reduce annual carbon dioxide emissions by 7 tons, equivalent to planting 320 trees.
Improved Energy Efficiency: The hotel will rely entirely on solar energy consumption, reducing dependence on the grid.
Supporting Local SMEs: The installation will reduce annual energy costs for Elite Home Hotel, promoting efficient operations.
Your Risks:
Mysolarwealth minimizes risk through asset collateral:
- The solar energy system and electricity storage unit are owned by investors.
- In the event of loan default, the panels can be sold in the secondary market or transferred to the next project. The return earned from the secondary market or the next project will repay your investment.
Additional Security: The hotel owner signed property collateral:
- In case of loan default, investors gain the right to become part owners of the hotel, earning a portion of revenue or income from a future sale.
